The great advantage of a cane is the fact that it is inconspicuous, highly effective, and a remarkable self defense tool. Every inch of the cane can be used to defend yourself.

Self-Defense, Exercise & Stretches

When you think of Cane-Fu and self-defense, you may automatically think of using the cane to defend yourself from an attack. However it also prepares you to defend against the natural effects of aging; like slip trips and falls!

Your cane can be your home-gym. Used alone, or along with resistance bands; you can get a full body workout that includes building strength, improving balance, and stretching your muscles.

In the Cane Masters System, a great deal of time is spent doing the Cane Stretching and Exercise program, using just the cane and Isometric stretches or the cane with resistance bands.


There are many benefits to this. It helps improve circulation by moving fresh oxygen to the body and brain.It will make you stronger and more able to resist injury. It will improve your balance. And perhaps most importantly, it will build self-confidence and it's fun!


These stretches can be done either standing or seated, so they are ideal for those with

limited mobility.


The most successful defense is to avoid the altercation! You must ALWAYS be aware of your surroundings. Do not allow yourself to become a victim!



It has often been said that the best block in any fight is "not to be there". If your attacker cannot touch you they can't hurt you. Your cane can help provide that distance to keep your attacker at bay. Besides your knowledge with your cane, your next best weapon is surprise. If you are perceived as "weak" because you are walking with a cane, then your attacker while be in for quite the surprise when that Cane shows them just how much strength and power you have!
